Hi all, i stupidly updated my iphone to OS 3.1, with a baseband of 05.11.07, and am looking for a way to jailbrake this on windows. at the end of it all i want to unlock, but i need to jailbrake it first, so i can download fuzzyband from cydia, then revert the BB back to 04.xx.xx (cant remember the exact BB), then to my beliefs i read on the net i can use ultrasn0w to unlock. So at this point i would be so greatful if anyone could share a solution to a jailbrake? also, does anyone know of a turbosim/rebel etc. that would unlock if i have to go down this road? some info on my ipod if needed; iphone 3g, 16gb baseband 05.11.07 version 3.1 (7C144) Thanks
as for unlocking i can't tell you how to do that since i am an att subscriber but u need to downgrade your firmware back to 3.0 and jailbreak then you can install the custom ipsw for 3.1.2 go here http://www.redmondpie.com/downgrade-iphone-3.1-to-3.0.1/ to downgrade firmware i did this and worked great real easy then go here http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-217/3_1_2_jailbreak_released-806514/ thanks to Guesswho for the custom firmware again real easy as for unlocking i don't know.
if you upgraded your baseband, unfortunately you can't downgrade it, and for now you won't be able to unlock it.
when i get to the stage of shift + restore, it wont access the files? itunes just behaves like im pressing restore on its own, and asks me if i want to upgrade. whats the steps to this part? i may be missing doing some thing
