iphone wont jailbreak!!

Hi all. I got an iphone (2g) that had been jail broken. Long story short when trying to jailbreak it I can't! I have tried redsn0w versions 7 & 8 to no joy, tried black1ce which wont let me jailbreak either, (using windows 7). I have also tried iliberty and iliberty+ versions 1.2 & 1.3.

At the moment the phone keeps going to connect to itunes screen.

I have been searching for an idiots fool proof walkthrough for jailbreaking, can anyone please please help me?

 

Also is there a way of identifying a jail-broken phone from the phone itself?

Modymi forums is one of the best places for iPhone questions, but I can try to help. Do you have an original carrier SIM card? If so what firmware is the iPhone on and it's it working? If it's already jailbroken why do you need to jailbreak it again?

 

Thanks for the reply sorry for taking so long in getting back to you but I had given up on this thread!!

The phone was jailbroken and was then updated so needs jailbroken again. I managed to jail break again, (but cannot remember how I did it), but cannot get it to accept ipa files or even to sync some of the free apps.

Any simple idiot proof way to do this would be appreciated.

 

Oh Yeah its an O2 sim in not the original but the correct carrier.
