Ipod clasic 160gb PLEASE HELP

    basically i had to change the battery becuase it ws dead so I did and i RESOTRED it as the ipod asked me to do so, so i did and now this basically. I dont think its the hardrive because, its rund for a few secs when it is disconnected and runs fine in itunes and when plugged into the wall charger
    anyway i will really appreciate help

    Ok so i looked at the video, and what it looks like to me, you got a dead Battery, i know you just replaced it, but it could have been dead from the store, things happens, to be on the safe side open the ipod again, make sure the connection are secure, if everything looks good, is the battery, because it plays fine while connected,see about getting a replacement from the store you got it, or getting another one, is cheaper than a whole new ipod, Well Good Luck.

    battery is new to you, you don't know how long was sitting in the shelf where you got it from, just like regular batteries, they do have an expiration day on them. so check to see if you can exchange it.
