I've been following the instructions here to convert .mkv files into mp4s. However, when I put it on my iTunes, and sync it to my iPod, the file won't transfer. It works on iTunes by itself and on Quicktime and every other media player I've tried, but not on my iPod.

I dunno, maybe I have an old iPod and it won't work (30GB iPod classic) or maybe the file is just too big for the window (1280x720). Can someone tell me how to fix this? Or at least give me the proper file dimensions for an iPod video file so I can convert the file down to a smaller size. Thanks!

Ok Yea your 30gb ipod wont' be able to handle those setting, the maximum resolution your ipod can handle is 640x360 on itunes if you right click on the video file you can choose convert to ipod, or you can use a free program call videora to convert the file again, videora for pc and handbreak for mac, they do everything automatic, if you choose the specific ipod you have when you run the program for the first time. Good luck.
