I wanted to know if I should update? I've already had problems with iTunes 7 messing up my speakers and I was wondering is the firmware update is unstable like their other versions? If anyone has info that would be great. thanks.

I think it is a really stable firmware so far. I have been searching for glitches for it and there isn't any real common ones that I've seen. I upgraded and it's goin good for me.

I am having major problems with my 5th gen (Video) 30G since updating to firmware 1.2 and Itunes 7

The screen will freez and distort, and sometimes the click wheel will fix it, sometimes it locks up.

I also had all my music erased (unrecognezed and then dumped).

    I am super-pissed right now!
