edit: by .bin are you looking for linux loaders?

edit: ive scoured google, like anyone with smarts would, and i havent been able to find what you cant find. it seems the only iPod updates are in exe

If you mean the gfx on your iPod, you need iPodWizard.

I hooked my bros 30GB ipod into the pc and ran ipodwizard and it wouldn't extract the firmware. It would load one line and then it would say program not responding!

    Little respect please fellas,

Download a copy of the firmware from Apple, then open that file with iPod Wizard and you will be able to load the firmware and it's images.

When you download the iPod firmware it should come in a folder labeled iPod, you need to open that folder and open the iPod Updater folder and find the iPod Updater [if your running Windows it'll have a picture of an iPod] That is what you want to open with iPod Wizard.

Threads generally stay open so if someone has a similiar question they can post in this thread instead of starting a new one. Plus it would be a lot of work to close threads when there isn't much of an advantage to having them closed.

My household currently has 2 iPod Shuffles [one was won out of a machine at a bowling alley], two 4G Monochrome iPods, and two black 5G iPods. The four that can be modded are, Rockbox, Linux and modded firmware on the two Video iPods, and just modded firmware on the 4 gen iPods, although I'll be adding Rockbox back to them probably sometime soon, since it had to be taken off to get the batteries replaced.

I personally just own a Video iPod and a Monochrome 4G iPod. But I have three younger brothers that own the various other iPods. If I go on a trip I usually bring both my iPods, for the extra battery life and to hold my 6500 song library. Always have a song for the right situation :)

Black and white screen, I just mention it because the 4G iPod sort of encompasses both the black and white screen iPod with the click wheel and the color screen iPod, or Photo iPod if you prefer.
