Has anyone else noticed that the left headphone in the original iPod earbud headphones rattles when you listen to the music too loudy? This has happened to two of my friends also. Not that I normally listen to the music at extreme levels but when I am outside running I bring my iPod with me and of course there is extra noise when I run. Just to make the music sound like it is at a good level it has to be louder than when you arent running or when you are inside. Anyways what I'm trying to get at here is if anyone can reccomend a replacement type of headphone [preferably the earbud kind like it came with] that will work just as good if not better than the ones that apple supplies with the iPods.

Yeah this also happened to me. It's because if you listen to them too loudly then you will blow the bass in them. You can return them to apple for free though.

They were like this when I bought them though. It isnt something that happend because I listened too loudly. When I return the to apple it will cost me S&H right? Can you tell me how long before they send them back and will I get a new or refurbished pair?

No, it is completely free to return them. It only took about 3 days for me to get mine, as long as you send the box with the old pair to them as soon as you get the new ones, then you won't be charged a penny.

There's where you can sign up to get a new pair. You have to give them a credit card number though because if you don't send the old ones back in as soon as you get the new ones, they will charge you for them.

Mine did something very similar only when I run and have the volume up louder and I start to sweat alot the left ear bud shorts out but after I get done running and I whipe the sweat off my ear bud it works again, and I'm pretty sure it's not in the wires.
