iPod & iTunes

    so whats the best way to get itunes to detect the ipod...i open itunes then plug my ipod in and it takes like 2 mins for it to detect. any help? thanks.

    it's best to plug the iPod in first, wait for the iPod screen to say do not disconnect and then open up iTunes.

    and you probably already know that to disconnect the iPod click on the eject button in iTunes

    You want it to detect faster? do you have a slow/old computer? If you are using USB 1.1 for instance, it will take time to detect..

    Well. I need more information.

    Is the Ipod new? Did you install the software? What kind of usb port do you have?

    I just happened to buy a 60gb Ipod the other day and had some similar problems. So you can pm me, or just post it on here.

    Next time you post though, try and tell us a little bit more about your problems.

    Yes,

    You defantly want to plug the iPod into your comp. then once the do not disconect icon pops up open itunes!

    i dont really have a slow computer but i do have usb 1.1, so maybe thats it. i have the 30gb ipod.

    Go to like Target and get a USB 2.0 PCI card for like $30 it will help you so much! (You need a open PCI slot)
