ipod keeps turning off

well my ipod says los battyer but then it trys to boot and the sad afce comes up..so i try to restore by force disk it stays there for a while then it shuts off and reboots ..when it does it goes to the sad face again and then it keeps on repeating

 

Sad Face means hard disk trouble. if you akready try to restore and no luck then is time to replace the drive. Good Luck

 

i have a spar hdd for it but that ipod has like a white screen so will that still work?
