for so reason my ipod doesn't move. the click wheel only works when i want to reset. the only way i can change songs is by shaking it. yeah i also updated and restore. i also can't get into diagnostic mode. i notice when i leave it alone for about 2mins and press any buttons the screen lights up.

    anybody know whats going on?

My guess it it i dying. I have a very old nano. I normally only use the 6 oclock to turn it on and off. That is failing. It takes 5 -20 tries to get it on or off. I have used it for thousands of hrs so I don't mind that it is finally going to die. I will not get another ipod. I will get a Sansa. They are way cheeper and better.
