ipod nano old white 1GB HELP

    Oki so i havt used my ipod nano in a while so i got o plug it in to charge on the computer and nothing happens except the ipod makes funny clicking noise in the inside...so i go to plug it in to my ps3 to see i it would charge there oki so it turnes on but it stays ant the little sign that says vero low battery please wait so i wait for a while the unplug it and it dies right away with out even turning on it jus goes 2 sec. until you see the little apple logo

    so can anyone help me??

    its been said that the 'clicking sound' is the hard drive having trouble spinning up, all that i can think of is when u plug it in, and it boots up, hit the narrow side of the ipod in your palm continuously, repeat until it spins up and all your problems are solved, ""NOTE"" do this at your own risk**

    first you should let the ipod charge for while, never mind the clicking sound, it means, the battery is so low the HD cant spin up, if you have a friend with a wall charger is faster and better, but just let the battery charge up, it would take good few minutes for the batter to have enough charge and the hd to spin up so itunes can detect the ipod.
