iPod not connecting!!!...Disk mode dosent work!

    Hello,

    I have had my iPod video for a mounth to the day now (2-10-2006) Today I wanted to update my songs and the PC didnt reconise the iPod, I put it into disk mode nothing! The do not dissconect icon dosent apear in the main menu or disk mode! I tryed 3 diffrent USB ports and nothing worked!

    Can you see the iPod in disk mode on 'My Computer'? Are you certain it is in disk mode? i.e does it say 'disk mode' at the top of your LC display?

    Just on a side note, to manually force it into disk mode, reset it [menu and select] and then when the Apple logo appears hold down Select and Play. It should then say on the iPod's screen that it's in disk mode.

    No, I cant see the iPod in my comp. when its in disk mode! I am positve its in disk mode because it says disk mode and the chargeing logo is the old fashion one! LOL

    Lethal what should I do! If I cant get it to work I am takeing it into Apple tomarow toget it exchanges or fixed since I have the sevice plan!

    Thanks for you help Lethal and Darkjello, but I decited to take my iPod into the Apple store today! The guy at the Genius Bar pluged the iPod into his iBook at the bar and had the same prob, he them took it in the back and pluged it into there PC and had the same prob, we concluded the the iPod was dead so he gave me a new one!!!
