i know that this has been posted before and ihave searched and found no real help.i have a ipod nano that has not been used for about 2 months when i plugged it into my laptop it started up itunes as it always does but it does'nt show up in the side menu.when i look in my computer it's shown there and the ipod does charge when plugged in.i have tried using different usb ports which are all 2.0 and i've tried updating the ipod and itunes but still have no luck.has anyone had this problem and fixed it.thanks for reading......sudeki300
Since it hasn't been used in two months, I would say the problem is probably related to it being charged. Try draining the battery as much as you can[after it has died leave it for an hour or so then turn it back on until it runs out of battery again] then try charging it. If you have a way of charging it without connecting it to your computer that would be better [like a car charger or wall unit] Let it charge completley then give it a try again.
