so i was syncyng my 30gig 5g ipod with itunes and then my computer shut down i checked my ipod and there were no songs so i went to the about menu and it said 0 songs but only 19 gigs remaining

i restarted my computer and logged back into itunes and plugged my ipod on.

there was no blue or any other color on the bar at the bottom that shows the ipod space, only like 10 gigs of yellow.

i donot want to restore the ipod because i have a lot of precious things in there

so what i want to know is there any way of deleting that yellow bar of "OTHER" instead of restoring the ipod?

    THNX

I don't know if this will work, but you can try putting the iPod in Disk Mode. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears. You should then be able to view everything on the iPod just like it was a hard drive. Like I say, I don't know if it will work.
