Got a 5G 60GB video ipod just under a week ago, and theres a problem thats driving me crazy. it pauses by itself. sometimes this problem doesnt happen, and sometimes it just wont stop. it only seems to do it when im travelling, ie. when its in my pocket and im walking, but it has done it a few times when its sitting on its own on my desk. its incredibly annoying as Id love to listen to it whilst walking the dog, but its just impossible with the constant pausing. and yes, i have got it on lock while this is happening. it does it on videos the odd time too. would I be best ringing apple? i'd like to fix it myself cause it took so long for the delivery, i dont want to part with it. another problem ive thought may be the case is that i havnt updated the ipod software to 1.1, as i have been without internet access. any help would be appreciated cheers
No, updating the software won't have any effect on your issue as there are no reported bugs of this kind on the v1.0 firmware. You are best off to restore your iPod, and see how that goes.
