If my friend has a 4G 40 Gig Apple iPod (MAC) and I have a 4G 20 Gig iPod+hp (PC) will I have to format his iPod to get the songs on my computer?
An iPod formatted to a Mac is not compatibile with a PC. You would need a third party program to transfer the songs. I'm not sure what program it would be that would support this.
My friend told me some other third softwares can manage it. He introduces a software name 'MacDrive 6' to me. http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/ Anybody try this software? Is it takes effect for my problem?
Unless you manage your Music with an outside application [one other then iTunes] I don't think it is what you're looking for. There was someone else around recently that found a program, does the thing your lookin for. I'll try and find the thread tommorow.
