hi i charge my ipod by a USB for about 15 hours then when i turn on it works for about a minute then turns off|??/ any ideas except that i need 2 pay 100 quid for a new battery pack that is including it being fitted in Edit:Also it is a 20Gig Ipod. And I think it needs a new battery pack
That should be covered under warranty. Are you sure it is the battery? I mean, when it cuts off, do you see any warning icons/apple logo?
Sounds like a softwear conflict! Take it to a Apple store or send it in to Apple unless Lethal has any ideas... wait for him to respond befor doing anything (he is AD iPod wizard) ~Domreis
ok thankz but i dont hav ma receit and a warrant! so i am a bit stuck on wat 2 do and i am just saying my ipod doz not connect 2 ma computer?? it will cnarge off it but not connect 2 it?? and that happens on all computers that i hav tryed on. and some people hav said that u need a USB hub that has lots of ports and loads of other ppl say that u need a new data cable so i am really confused
There is really no good answer that we can give you. It sounds like you need to send it into apple. I think if you send in your broken ipod/ 200$ (mabey more or less i dont remeber) / and acessories they will send you someone elses old ipos that has been fixed. You might was to try it. If the price is too much just by a new one or Ebay or something. (and i dont belieave you need a receit depending on where you brought it from, My local Best Buy does not need a receit. I am coverd for 3 years on my Ipod video no risks!)
if you take it into the apple store they will look up the day and time of when you bought it and if it is still under the sevice plan they will swap it out with a new old iPod! (This iPod will at least have a new faceplat/ body and bettery) ~Domreis
They are unlikely to deal with an unregistered iPod with no proof of purchase. For all they know, you could have stolen it.
That's because I haven't been told it [bold]has[/bold] been registered, but, for your sake.. qkiani - Have you registered your iPod?
Well, if you read the [bold]FAQ[/bold] on it, you will see whar benefits it brings. http://register.apple.com/html/en_US/faq.html Back to your origional question, have you tried restoring your iPod?
