Since I got the latest version of iTunes, I've noticed a problem when I sync to my iPod--it will only transfer 20 or so songs to my ipod before ending the sync session and acting like everything went as planned. When I start the sync, it takes several minutes to start adding songs, and when it syncs it is continuously interrupted. iTunes will say something like "coping 1 of 480, 2 of 480" but then suddenly stop and start again, saying "copying 1 of 140 [a different number]" of completely different songs. After being interrupted several times like this, it stops syncing entirely and says "Syncing is complete." I can keep pressing the sync button, but that is a huge hassle. I also found several songs on my iPod that wouldn't play (ie, I would play them and they would skip right to the next song.) I know these songs were updated recently. I'm not sure that iTunes is at fault, but I do know that the problem wasn't there before I got the new version of iTunes. What can I do?
I would factory restore the ipod, than uninstall itunes and download the latest from apple.com install add music to itunes, then try to sync it will have to sync all your songs back to your ipod, but it has a good chance of rectifying the problem.
