I was thinking about buying a Ipod Touch today but the guy at the store said that you HAD to go through Itunes so I started browsing the web and found out a lot about hacking it. I'm hoping someone can help answer a few questions I couldn't find answers for. (and hopefully this will help many others out too) I refuse to install Itunes on my pc. I have a large collection of mp3's from my personal cd's and others I d/l, and I know of people having problems with Itunes corrupting peoples music files. 1. Is there a way to copy music from my pc to the Itouch without going through Itunes? 2. Does Jailbreaking also install linux or is that separate? 3. Does jailbreaking change the way the itouch works or does it keep everything basically the same with the acception of the user being able to add on and run what they want? I googled and looked through forums and couldn't find a definate answer on these 3 questions. Thanks in advance!
1. No there is not due to the lack of storage device mode. 2. Jailbreak doesnt install jailbreak, which is separate. 3. Everything remains perfectly normal.
