(i have a compaq if that matters). i would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get the sound without having to buy cucosoft, just using qucik time pro. ive looked all over the forum and can't get anything fixed.

Gah, ok, although videora is very popular i wouldn't recommend it. It has video audio syncing problems (ALthough if you insist on using it and get an audio sync problem here's a fix: http://ipodlegends.com/videora-audio-sync-fix/ Programs such as Any Video Converter or 3GP Converter run as smoothly as videora and are as easy to use without having the audio sync problem or no sound. THey are free too...

hi i have recently got an i pod video and have uploaded several episodes onto it. when playing on the ipod playback is fine all sound is perfect picture is also perfect. however when i play it back through my tv ( using a camcorder cable inverting the red yellow white ) the picture is 100% perfect but only when the ipod volume is very low as soon as i turn the ipod volume up any time any dialog comes in the sound is perfect but lines appear across the screen. I try using the ipod at very low vol and turning the tv vol up but then i get loads of background huming. does anyone know if i am experiencing some interference/ and or if i would do any better with the official ipod cable?

Is the cable you're using in good shape? An Apple branded one won't help at all unless the insulation on the one you are currently using is falling apart, creating interference. You would still be better off just buying another camcorder one = less money
