ipod video hard drive Q

    Hey I just got my iPod video with a 30 gig hard drive and everything seems to be working fine (plays music, videos, and I can view photos), yet when i go into itunes it says something like 3 gig used up and 24 gig free...why isnt the math adding up? does the system really take more then 2 gig to work? It seems a little fishy...any help is greatly appreciated.

    The actual GB varies if you look on the Apple page and go to iPod Video you'll see on the bottom of the page or go to your iPod and check it Settings -> About it'll show the info there!!!
