im using the videora converter to put videos on my ipod, and im using the right formats, but when i try to play the videos on the ipod, the screen just stays black then after a few seconds, goes back to the video list. all of the videos work in itunes, but not on my ipod. any suggestions? thanx
If your using firmware version 1.1 I'd suggest downgrading it as soon as possible. It seems to be causing a lot of problems especially in the video playing area. If you're still having problems be sure to post back.
I'm sorry I didn't specify. But What's the firmware version of your iPod . I'm assuming that the .90 is the firmware version of Videora
im not sure of the firmware version of my ipod. how do i find out? i updated the version last time it asked me a few weeks ago if that helps any. also i was reading through some other forums, and they said that this problem only happens with the 60GB ipods, but i have a 30GB. so could this be something different? thanx
60gb and 30gb shouldn't really matter. You can downgrade your firmware here: http://www.ipodwizard.net/wiki/index.php/Installing_Modified_Firmware
I am not sure about 30gb iPods in relation to the firmware glitch, but many of those that come in here complaining are owners of the 60gb unit..
alright i am completely stuck. i have downloaded the ipod wizard. i have inserted the itunes CD and opened program files>ipod> updater 10-12-05.exe, and when i load the updater with the wizard, nothing happens. isnt it suposed to take me to a page that says i can click a downgrade button? im so stuck.
ok, now after working for awhile trying to figure out what i did wrong, i realized that i downloaded the wrong ipod wizard. there is a wizard-source and a wizard-release. once i downloaded the right one, i successfully downgraded my ipod. thanks DarkJello and Lethal_B for all of your help. I can now watch video on my ipod again.
