I am using PQ DVD to convert DVD's, which seems to be working very well for me.

I have the option of selecting either the 320 x 240 size or the 480 x ? size for TV.

If I record at the TV size will I still be able to play the movie on my IPod or will it only work on the TV?

    Thank you.

iPod supports video size not more than 480x480.

Does this mean that the IPod will play a movie recorded at 480 x 368? Or will it only store it for playback to a TV?

it will play it @480 x 368 So long as you keep the video and audio spec correct. For more info on the maximum allowance for iPod videos, please check my guide at the top of this forum..

Thanks for the info, Lethal_B. One last question. Am I correct in understanding that the frame rate sets how well the video displays motion (with 30 fps being real good), while the bitrate determines how squashed the file is (and correspondingly, how chopped up the image looks?

    Thanks.
