We all know that NtHell (now You.Pee.See) read this forum, so maybe they can take note when we discuss the ripoff costs they charge.

While these boxes worked nobody complained too much about the ripoff charges but since the boxes no longer work we should raise the issue of value for money.

As a comparison of Virgin Media in UK to U*C in Ireland:
    V*rg*nMedia
    Broadband – 10MB line
    TV – 45 digital channels
Phone – Phone Line & Unlimited Evening & Weekend National Calls
    £28.45 / month (equivalent to €32/month)

    U*C
    Broadband – 10MB line
    TV – 40 digital channels
Phone – Phone line & Unlimited Evening & Weekend National Calls
    €67 / month

That is a 35 Euros per month difference !

In addition, V*rg*nMedia offer BBC iplayer as standard, HD TV as an option and an excellent box. V*rg*nmedia have invested wisely and want to benefit the consumer.

U*C just spend their money on new encryption systems rather than improving their offerings. How many of us have new HD TV's and still not receiving HD TV from U*C.

I hope that people realise that we are being ripped off and switch to FTA or other alternatives, so causing U*C to improve their prices and offerings.

Yep I agree rip off alright, but a good deal compared to last year. More competition is what we need and the prices will fall. If Sky ever release broadband over here it should be interesting!
