Is a 450 Watt PSU sufficient..?

    Yup, it'll work fine for an average PC. I'm assuming you're not running a top of the line video card, or multiple video cards. You'd probably even be fine on 450W from a solid company like Corsair with a quad core and a top end card. Corsair is a great brand.

    The 450W VX can run an overclocked quad core and top end card like HD4870 or GTX280. It'll be ample.
