Okay, i have a 360 now and am content with it for now, but i see so many cool games on the pc with added features and awsome comunity support i was just wondering if it would be worth it to get into the PC gaming scene? I'd just need to upgrade my graphics card to a more expensive higher end card. Would that purchase justify opening up a whole new game library for me? thanks
PC gaming is comparatively a rich man's sport to consoles, but is very rewarding if you're willing to spend the extra. Lots of unique games, and an arguably better way of playing them, better graphics, better online systems, plus all the other things a PC can do, a media center, a downloading machine, a proper web browser - not convinced a console can't do this? Try doing them all at once.
I think it just depends what type of game you play. My favourite types of games are FPS which just dont make the grade on consoles, so for me I much prefer PC gaming. Also MMORPGs and RTS games are much more widely available (and better) on PC. I do have a console as well (PS3) but I tend to use this for sports / driving games and a few games that you cant get on the PC (GTA IV, MGS4, etc,). You can pick up an 8800GT for less than £100 which will easily cope with 95% of PC releases.....
RTS should only ever be played on a PC, and FPS should also ideally only be played on a PC too. MMORPGs not so much, but there is a much better selection on the PC. It would be nice to have GTA4 on the PC, but I think thats probably a far off dream...
