I went out and bought my copy of AnyDVD, and i am debating on downloading Virtual Clone Drive. Two questions.

    1. What is the purpose of VCD?

    2. Is it needed if i have AnyDVD?

    Thanks!

Where did you "go out to" to buy your copy of AnyDVD? And no, you do not need a virtual drive...

Virtual CloneDrive is the same basic tool as Daemon Tools just less advanced (their both free). The purpose of VCD is to allow its users to mount/inject their disc images (iso, bin/cue, etc.) into a Virtual Drive. And no you do not need VCD to use anyDVD in anyway. If anything its more for use with CloneDVD2. As CloneDVD2 has the option to output as an .iso image file.
