i am looking for a computer that is pretty cheap under 400. and i was wondering if celleron was better than pentium 3 b\c i am not going to buy a pentium 4 b\c it is to much. i was looking at best buy and they cell a celleron pretty cheap like 334 dollars with rebate including 17in flat screen, speakers, keyboard, mouse, 100 gigs, 512mb, 2.93ghz. i am just wonderinf if this is a good buy. but my main question is if celleron is better than pentium 3.

there are p3 celerons & p4 celerons so keep that in mind for the future if anybody asks. yes a p4 celeron is better than a true p3 tho it has only 128 to 256kb of ram on it compared to 512kb of the p3. p3 stops at about 1.3ghz & the p4 is still going up

1: microsoft does not make computers
2: any p4 whether true p4 or celeron beats any p3 whether true p3 or celeron because as istated about the p3 speed limit is 1.3ghz compared to any p4 from 1.4 to 3.6ghz & above. which is faster, an old model t car of the 1920's or a corvette of today!!
