sense when is inquirer a reliable sourse
Unless the site owners have been providing files themselves everything will be fine. The Canadian Govt. is quite insistent that file sharing sites which DO NOT actually host any files are doing nothing wrong, and will not be pursued/taken down/hassled/threatened or whatever.
I wish more rich and large countries had the guts to stand up to the USA based media industries in this way. It might stop Bush and his cronies thinking they own the world.
I'm hoping our little green demon is back soon.. tomorrow or sunday, but I understand quite a lot about servers and it will take as long as it takes sometimes... I have some copyright (riaa cartel free anyways) free unsigned talent that wants some publicity, plus some very old bootlegs that were promised weeks ago.
its good to hear that the site is coming back soon, i just joined like a week ago and just started to build up ratio...thx
I so hope its not the end for DEMONOID, I have been a member for a few years now, and had only good things from the site. There is no other sites like it. I have tried others, only to get duff downloads and/or viruses etc. The site caters for experienced aswell as newbies.
I want to see JAMGOOD & HOCKNEY again, and soon, as i`m gettting withdrawal symtems.
Fingers crossed everything will get sorted.
I never said it was...
I hadnt meant that you said it was shut down. Maybe should have clarified. Ooooops :O)
29th today, still not back. Maybe later on.
Demonoid being down has nothing to do with the cria - it is purely hardware issues.
The trackers have now been up from early Saturday morning UK time
expect main site sometime within next 24/48 hours
Anyway, why not come to our temporary forums which was kindly set up by one of the moderators last year
Here you will learn the truth ..........
I can also confirm the trackers are back up, I just tested one of my torrents and all was good.............
Thanks for the heads up
That makes more sense than the CRIA closing down demonoid, as a canadian I am well aware of what fights that have been won and lost and CRIA does not have the LEGAL power to shut down a torrent website. If you look at there pathetic attempts to sue file sharing user's (with no success). You can only come to the conclusion that there is NO-Way that they are behind this. There is no LEGAL ground to stand on for them to stop Demonoid. Demonoid would not have moved there server to this country without checking all aspects of the canadian law concering there business.
Very well said......
i went into utorrent today to see if my programme i was downloading off demonoid was still able to download and it is, so i just think the site is down for maintanace.
Yeah, Demonoid is back up. Hurrah!
Is it really back up? I still can't connect, still getting that stupid page.
The trackers are back up, but the site still isn't working.
Thank you, I see that. Thank the lord, I thought we lost em for a second there.
Today the site is down. I gona connect my torrent client to test trackers. I hope Demonoid can surpass the "tech" difficulties.
