Ok I tried one last time and DVD decrypter gave me a weird message under ISO READ MODE. THe message was: "This disc is not supposed to be protected by CSS/CPPM so this is somwhat strange!" Then it asked if I wanted to try to unencrypt anyways....I clicked yes...few seconds later....it craped out and said "I/O error". Anybody delt with this before?

hey guyz, let me climb on the band wagon and say that I have been unsuccessful to back up my copy of the Chappelle Show disks. At first I used DVD Shrink and while analyzing it froze and gave me CRE so I put the dvd in my other drive and it finished analyzing. Well I thought it should be okay and tried to copy the entire dvd w/ mixed compression and it would error out on me everytime. I tried using the new guide for DVD Decrypter 3.5.x.x and still no results. I havent noticed any weird symbols or green guyz runnin around but I guess that's probably the new encryption in the dvd's. Copy Protection Error - The read failed because the sector is encrypted. Never had this error message but will like to know more about it. Anybody able to pass this hurdle yet? I know ppl had problems with RE2 and LBB but those were fixed. We need a universal fix for this problem I guess.

Why do people keep telling this guy to use the new DVD decryptor when he states in his first post that he used the updated Decryptor and it still didnt work.

Download a program call vobblanker.you can get this at www.jsoto.com It will get you past the new threads sony companies are putting on the disk to try and stop burning of dvd's.Figures one of the largest sellers of dvd r/w drives is now trying to prevent us from backing up our collections.Works on re2,dawn of dead, shawn of dead and best of all its free....and very easy to use

It should, its the movie disks that have the threads not the burn disk or the drives

You dont need decrypt to beat the new encryption. If you downloaded vobblocker followthese steps
1-insert the dvd in the drive
    2-open vobblocker
3-in input folder click your dvd drive that disk is in
4-in output select a folder you will know that vob can download files to(I name mine after movie then add blocked to it
5-on the right side of the upper box(the one with all the files) you will see 5 buttons,The fifth one says process all, click that button
6-at the bottom you will see a button saying process, click it and program starts.
7 when program finishes go to dvdshrink and click --get files
8- find the file you stored you movie to and click on it....Now burn your movie
You wont be able to tell that anything was even done to the movie and it will play great, just remember cheap dvd's make cheap copies-you get what you pay for..Enjoy

Try ripping the movie with DVD Decrypter. Then burn it with DVD Shrink to make it fit to one disc.

Using VOBBlanker I'm now getting a message from Shrink saying it can't find VIDEO_TS_01.IFO.

It seems to me this didn't become a problem on my computer until I downloaded Windows Media player 10.

I received the redundancy thing on a DVD I was able to copy before, I restarted my computer and then it copied.

If you are using vobblanker in the top box that shows all the files you need to click once on one file and then on the buttons on the right side you need to click PROCESS ALL then go to the very bottom and you will see PROCESS click it and it should take about 5 to 7 minutes,in the file you save this info to you need to click the name of the file you stored the movie in(I always call my file after the movie but add blocked to the file name.It sounds like you are not selecting all the files to be copied,If you click on one file and hit process it will only process that ONE file,YOU NEED TO CLICK THE PROCESS ALL button on the right side-then click process at the bottom
