Hi , I have the same problem, but I unistall the program , and reinstall and works perfect. Best regards
i managed to get friday night lights on to my hard drive by editing the pls file and importing it in dvd-decrypt... however still no luck on geting it to burn with dvd-shrink, it just goes into not responding mode everything else i've burned works fine its just that one movie.
Alright.....VOB Blanker did the trick! I finally got the movie out but now it's too big a file to burn onto DVD-R. I opened it throught shrink "open Files" method, but it is compressed as low as possible through default. The compression slider only goes as low as 86%.....usually you can get it as low as 50% but for some reason it won't go anylower. Any thoughts out there?.....Whoa just scrubbed through the movie and found that half way through the movie the video image goes to a green screen...so it seems decrypter, shrink, smart ripper, AnyDVD and VOB Blanker haven't worked so I give up!
Just wondering. How do you have a copy of Friday Night Lights to back up if it hasn't come out on Dvd yet? lol Just wondering!!!
In responce to the original question...I think it is that your dvd drive needs cleaning. Have you tried running a cleaning cd/dvd..the ones with the small brushes to clean the lense of the drive. Hope that helps, if you haven't tried that out. I have a problem of my own. Hope someone can help me out. I use shrink and roxio. On some dvd's i recieve an "UNSPECIFIED ERROR [0X1] or sometimes [0x7]". Now what the Hell does that mean? I've realy hit a wall with that. Anyone's help would be much appreciated. thanks
Hmmm...What could it be? fight club not either reading right or burnig completely if I understand you right. Are you using the same media when burning? for the I/O error you may want to try unistalling your optical drive from the device manager and then rebooting the system.Windows will redectect the drive.Do you have the latest firmware update for your burner? www.cdfreaks.com.This helps with reading certain brands of DVDs.Have you considered trying nero or reinstalling dvd decryptor.Try rolling your system back to an earlier time.I was getting some type of error while burning with dvd decryptor myself.I finally start the burning process with nerf course it may be that if I unistall nero or similair burning program I won't have a burn issue.I personally use nero and haven't had any problems, other than buying generic blanks. The thing that I cannot figure out is my brother-in-law has an older computer than me with win98 and just shrink and decryptor and decryptor burn with no problems.Anyhow hope you find an answer.
Well thanks that at least gives me another option to look into. The problem doesnt seem to be the pioneer burner (108). The problem arises while encoding, not when burning (the process right before the burn with shrink) and while ripping to HD in decrytor. Already tried reinstalling all these freeware programs and it hasnt worked. Funny thing is that I bought my dad the same Pioneer 108 for christmas and downloaded shrink for him and he has been able to burn Once upon a time in mexico and Full Metal jacket both of which I've can't seen to rip. And his computer is older and slower!!
Sounds like it has something to do with your DVD burner. Or an adware security thing could have been downloaded to your computer. My burnt discs wouldn't play so I opened up the list of all installed programs and Universal had put something on my computer, I deleted it/unistalled it and every thing worked fine again. Has anyone else had a legit hollywood company disable their bootlegs? It surprised the hell out of me, I've never heard of it before.
Wow never heard of that one! Well I have downloaded Spyware Doctor to clean up my computer adware and stuff...hmmmm?
i've had it for a fewweeks now (job perks) its a good flick you can get it on the 18th, however i still cant manage to back it up, i've gotten it to my hd but it straight shuts down dvd-shrink at 1%, i got it to my hd by using the resident evil pls for dvd-decrypter, but it wont burn to disc.
77R0Ck77 Try installing the lastest copy of any dvd and see if works. PM me if it works and we will talk.
You mentioned that you bought your dad the same drive that you have for christmas. I recommend going to your dad's house downloading the lastest version of any dvd, then try to backup Friday Night lights. I will not be able to try until it is realeased here in the United States. I can tell you I was able to make backups of Resident Evil and Little Black Book fine using shrink and any dvd so I don't antisipate a problem with Friday Night Lights.
I've already tried the latest version of AnyDVD. I'm assuming all you have to do is run it when u put in your DVD cuz that is what I have done and it doesn't work. I says that it removed all encryptions, but shrink still locks up as well as decryptor
Txstang this is a quote from one of your previous post. Funny thing is that I bought my dad the same Pioneer 108 for christmas and downloaded shrink for him and he has been able to burn Once upon a time in mexico and Full Metal jacket both of which I've can't seen to rip. And his computer is older and slower!! This is why I recommend for testing purposes to try on your fathers computer to see if it does the same as yours.
I've seen this in another post and I'm pretty sure its whats happening to my nephew,He downloaded the newest nero(5.31) and he cant burn with it, I gave him my older nero(the one i'm using- oem suite) told him to delete everything from the newer nero, install the older one and see if that helps,I burn with no problems using dvd shrink and nero, dvd shrink and decrypter, except when I need to use the vobblanker(an excellent program),The problem I see with users of vobblanker is they dont use the process all button on the right side,They seem to want to jump ahead and push the process button at the bottom first,If you do that you only blank the one file, you need to highlight at least one file in the top box then click the process all button then click process. Also users that install the incd packet to nero have alot of problems because incd read other files not just the one you are trying to burn.Try getting incd uninstalled ,restart, and then try burning . Hope this helps...it did wonders for me.Try looking thru the thread(cant burn with nero )-it has a lot of help from scuba pete and others,,,Good luck and Good burning
It's not the burning im having trouble with, its getting the files off of certain DVD's. Older ones like Full Metal Jacket, Fight Club which I don't think should be a problem seeing as how they are older and don't have the newer encryptions. The problem is in ripping the actual disks I get I/O errors, ecryption messages, and ect.
