Is it alright to hook sammy to the computer via molex?

    I finally got the xbox360 disassembled. Now the pc to xbox360 connection question. From what I read the VT6462L card is connected to the xbox360 sammy drive via the sata cord but the power is from the xbox360. Would it be alright to get a molex to sata convertor and hook the sammy drive to the computer? The reason is that I don't want to risk shorting out the xbox360.

    Just power from 360 and use croc clips in between the xbox and pc.

    Yeah, just use croc clips. I hooked the croc clips from my pc power supply to the xbox 360 chasis.

    It should be aight!
