is it bad to place ps3 vertically next to stereo speakers?

    will the magnetic field from the speaker harm the ps3?

    im pretty sure it wont because i have mine standing up between 2 surround sound speakers nothing wrong eather so it should be fine

    Just a FYI a lot of speakers now have "shields" on them, so that they do not effect your monitor or TV set. If you have really old speakers, or cheap ones, there is going to be a good chance they don't have the magnetic shields on them and could ruin any potential electronics.

    A good example is when i bought some $10 PC speakers at Walmart and placed them on my desk next to my monitor. I started to notice a blue aura on the screen, once I removed the speakers, it went away.

    No problems with my PS3, i also have my console between 2 surround speakers. Everything works great for me...
