Is it possible to encode avi/mwv to H.264

    I wanted to free up some space on my 10gb harddisk, thank you.

    (I hope I am in the right section with my Q?)

    Definatly possible.

    The two h.264/AVC encoders that I would recommend are Nero Digital or x264 with x264 having the advantage of being free.
