Try nstalling 4.0 first, then 4.1.

    Hi,
I have used your guide L on two systems - all work fine - when 4.1 was the firmware - thanks.
Just to clarify - virgin 3.4 wii. As above if I use your guide, it initially states to upgrade to 4.1. But the firmware is now 4.2.

so, do I update to Waninkoko 4.1 first and then use your guide Larry ?

    thanks

Just a few questions poping up.

    1. I´m on 3.2E and would like 4.1E. Would you go on or wait a bit longer before proceeding? What I´m asking is, is it safe enough to update at this moment? Do we know everything that is needed about the update procedure?

    2. I got bootmii installad as boot2 and has made a nand backup before. I think it´s v0.2. If I download hackmii I get this .elf file. I have to install it through HBC (rename to .dol)? I can´t get the bootmii folder and just replace the old one on the SD-card?

    3. I guess I should do a new nand backup after installing the new bootmii version huh?

    4. But after that is done I should first use Waninkokos update to 4.0 and then use his 4.1 updater? Not go directly from 3.2E to 4.1?

Tried to read all the posts and so on but I would like to be 110% before proceeding.

I have a similair question, but i would like to know if ther is a tool that tells me what firmware-update is in de the iso I have. I use WIU to patch or remove updates, but if I would like an update to remain within the ISO I sure would like to know what version it is. This solves a lot of questions on this forum-thread

the 4.1 and 4.2 versions of these updaters are not available any longer via these links. Only the 4.0 one. Any idea where to find a copy of the 4.1 or 4.2 versions?

There is really no need to use those updaters anyway. All you need to do is update to 4.2 firmware and follow the 4.2 firmware softmod guide in my sig. In the end there is really no difference.
