Is it possible to play AVI files from FTP?

    Does anyone know if there is a program that will allow you to watch a .avi file located on a ftp server.

    Not as far as I know, you have to download the file first.
    It's a transfer protocol, not intended for streaming.

    Research shows a modded xbox1 will do this...
