Since you SHOULD already own the game that would be burned, you will be able to play on XBOX live with the original copy. Now if you are trying to play Xbox Live with an illegal copy then, 1)no it won't work, 2)it's illegal to have that copy.

Unless something new has come out to allow this, I do not know of any case that anyone has gotten a back up of a game to play on Xbox Live. You could always check www.xbox-scene.com to see if any new tutorials have come out.

It will not work. A mod chip is required for the xbox to recognize backups. You can not have your mod chip on while playing xbox live because ms will see it and ban you from xbox live.

Send the scratched disk back to the manufacture, they will send you a new one, you have to pay shipping but then again you scratched it.

Is that really true? I've never heard of or even thought of doing that.

First try the place you bought the game from first, if the place of purchase will not give you an exchange then call the manufacture:
If you are over the age of 18 call customer service for the manufacture of the game that is damaged. If you are under the age of 18 have an adult call the manufacture. Tell them the game disk is damaged and you will either send them the damaged disk for a replacement or ask if they can have one expressed-shipped to you (you will need a credit card). If you have one expressed-shipped make sure to get the RMA number and place it on the return package and have it sent FedEx ASAP! If you do not or if it gets lost in shipping you will be charged the MSRP for that game at least $59.99. Tell them you want a replacement don’t ask them. By law they do not have to supply you with a replacement so if you ask they might say no. If you tell them you will be sending them the damaged disk for a replacement they will comply to keep the customer happy. Be professional and they will send you a new game disk. You will be charged a shipping chage but it should be no more than $16.
