I'm running homebrew software on my psp is it still safe to play online games with it or do I run the risk of being blocked by sony?
I'd like to know this too. I was playing fifa 06 (back-up) on my friends PSP and it turned off, i couldn't get it to turn on again...i don't know if it just had a low battery????
sony can to tell the latest version of firmware 2.01 2.50 and 2.60 have dnas technology built into it and they can tell if you are running anything illegally so my recommendation is don't

No you can not play (according to the Box), GTA:LCS on the 'Net. As like with so many Games before it, it will only suppoer 'Ad-Hoc Mode' (i.e. 2+ PSP's in a Phisical Location),. If you lucky enough to have one of the Routers that Xlink KAI will actually support. You can use this service to play Ad-Hoc over the 'Net over there. The problem is, most People don't have that limited and outa print (e.g. redundent), hard to find expensive Hardware. So even assuming you chould have been so lucky. Chances are there would still be no one waiting for you on the other side!!! Ya want to play on the 'Net? Get FIFA '06 or SOCOM: Navy Seals. Those Games acatually will support 'Infastructure Mode' (i.e. Internet)...
you can play multiplayer games against each other though the internet even if the game isn't internet compatible you need a wireless router and you need xlink kai for the xbox gamecube and psp
Says who?!? I take it you have not ever read the FAQ's or Readme's regaurding WirelessLAN's and PSP's @ the XLink KAI Website have you?!?! I guess you must be the perverbel 1/1000 who actually owns the Equipment needed to acatualy use KAI... Unless you have a Router and or a PCI Card that you can use ICS with in the 'Promiscuous Ad-Hoc Mode' (a qusi Ad-Hoc / Infrastructure Mode), that only a very few Devices can achive! You're not going anywhere on XLink KAI with the PSP™ anytime soon. Simple as that!!
go to www.xbconnect.com . its a program that makes the psp think that it is on a lan and really its all over the world... try it out...
