If abgx says "SS looks valid, DMI looks valid, PFI matches known data (3rd wave...), Video partition matches known data (3rd wave..., Stealth check passed!, but Verification Failed and AutoFix Failed, Stealth is still unverified" is it safe to play that back up?
I am not going to wait any longer. What's the worst that could happen if I play this back up as it is?
you said stealth check passed, then you said its unverified? the worst that could happen is you get banned and have to buy a new xbox.
but isn't it true that ixtreme 1.6 won't play unstealthed games? So if the back up is not properly stealthed, won't ixtreme 1.6 simply not play it? Seems like the worst that could happen is that I end up with a coaster.
i've never heard that. when you mod your xbox you put custom firmware on that will play burnt games. you will still be able to play games that arn't stealthed thats why its so important that you make sure its stealthed or you will get banned. I don't like to play any games online that arn't full green, even if its stealth checked. but its up to you.
I have play games that way "fail verification" and never had any problems offline or online, It's been more that six month that I've been playing and have not got banned. so I think it'll be ok.
This means nothing as MS ban in waves. When a ban wave happens, lots of people that have been flagged over time get banned at the same time. You could already be flagged to be banned in the next wave without knowing. The same goes for any of us here, but waiting until games fully check out with abgx360 should help to minimise the risk of being caught. If the game verifies, then you know that the stealth files match up with a good retail rip from the database. If you don't wait, then all you know is that there are stealth files present that appear to be correct. And yeah, iXtreme 1.6 will only boot games that are stealthed, although it does have a one shot boot mode to allow you to boot games that are not(which requires the use of another disc I believe - I've never used it though).
Assuming it is a game that has been released for a little while, it would be pretty dumb to play it if it not passing the checks. I would only play verified rips
First of all, i recently obtained a backup of Halo Odst, i ran it through abgx360, everything passed including the stealth check apart from the verification. Does this mean i cannot play this online? Secondly i read about the 1.6 firmware being able to detect if the game is stealthed or not, so i put halo odst in my xbox (signed into an offline account) and it ran the game. Does this mean its properly stealthed or does it have to pass the verification aswell. Lastly, i have an idea but im not sure if it will work, would i be able to rip my friends legitimate copy of halo odst to my hard drive, and then use my backup disk to run it, or would they still be able to detect that im using an unverified copy to boot the game up. Thanks in advance :]
Well, it doesn't really matter now if you have already played the game. You have already been flagged. Also, I assume that you downloaded the Allstars copy of the game? Well, that didn't pass verification when run against the legitimate copy of the game that abgx360 obtained. Yeah, so you might as well just keep playing it now because if you were to be tagged for it, you already are.
That's way wrong. 1.6 only plays games that are stealth unless you use the disc to enable unstealth games. It's the whole point of ixtreme firmware, to make sure the games are stealth. @11dan11 No one can say if MS would for sure detect it. There is a verified release of ODST in the database, so I would get another rip of the game and just use that. Allstars release works. Or rip it yourself.
What can happen sometimes, since verification is done with an online database is that the moment your are using abgx you are unable to establish a connection. That happened to me once with Prototype, I was stealth-checking and verification failed, upon reading the log I realized I was unable to connect to the online database. I ran it again and verification was successful.
Your making it sound like he just screwed himself over. Just because it doesnt match up with abgx's online verification DOESNT mean its an insta-ban as soon as you pop it in your 360. In fact abgx has been know to have wrong data in its database to check against...i forget which game it was. So the fact that stealth passed is good. Means it does have the stealth needed to reduce chances of being banned. Verification failed just means that particular rip isnt in abgx's database. Which the allstar release wouldn't be since they (being abgx) wait until the game is released to put it online to check against. Your welcome.
