i haven't actually done this yet because i don't have the SATA ports on my computer, but it's REALLY easy (speaking completely from computer experience). your best bet is to "obtain" a game back up tools folder. that will have instructions and every program you need.

If you are comfortable with opening a PC and changing out hardware components, then I say it's something you might as well do yourself. Flashing isn't easy, but it's not that hard either.

what do you mean "i don't have the SATA ports on my computer"???
do you need ports to connect the drive to?
if so, what/where are these ports?
i have 2 sata connectors on my motherboard that i use to connect my hard drives to, would these do?

any help is appreciated, as i want to do my own xbox360..

    cheers

okay so if you have the SATA ports on your motherboard, then you are more than likely able to do the upgrade. with the original xbox, everything used IDE, which made is so easy to mod, but this one uses SATA and it's a little more difficult. i'm not sure i know what else you're asking, but feel free to keep the thread going!
