i am relatively new to dvd burning (about 1 yr) and have had a sony DRU-800 for about 10 mths. i have burned 1500-1750 dvdr and about 2500 cdr. i have noticed in the past 2 weeks that any movies i copy have errors on my standalone dvd player about 30-40 minutes in and do not finish. the screen has glitches the frames freeze and the audio and video come out of synch.

i have changed up the kind of media i used and maybe 1 in 6 dvds burns and actually works. however nero always says burned successfully.

any help or answers would be great

    thanks

its probably not your burner if you say you burned over 1750 movies and have played them on your standalone player then its more likely for the player to be glitching not the dvds try seeing if the movies that dont work well in your player work in your friends if they work its not the burner its ur dvd player and if the movies still come out mesed up then yea your burner might be getting burned out.
