I have an old NEC 1100A with the firmware update from Dell (where i got my computer from) 10GE. I was going to try 1.A3 from http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-1100/files.html but read that it is not for burners that came with a Dell computer. I have tried TDK, Memorex, and Verbatim. All TDK failed, majority of the memorex disks failed and so far with 3 tries at Verbatim those have also failed. It will usually burn fine but get a session fixation error and an error in ending the disk at once. I have tried a newer version of nero and an older version, same problems. Included is the log of a recent attempt. same prob happened with the old firmware, thats why i looked to find the new my first burn after the new firmware actually worked. I had a pack of 15 maxell and maybe 5 of the 15 burned fine but one of those burns i used decryptor with an iso file or a single file of some sort. Generally i burn the video_ts folder with nero I checked my astp or whatever it is, the layers. That is telling me is fully functional and fine. I checked my ide's through device manager and they are how they should be. Even uninstalled my burner and restarted comp. I've tried burning video_ts folders with dvdsanta and nero...both fail. I'm thinking my burner may be dying because i have verbatim and have tried everything just about that i've read so idk what the prob could be.
i just burned an img file with decryptor and it worked fine but then when i went to play it in my dvd player i get an error. This didn't happen with the tdk discs. these verbatim discs were made in taiwan
