Is my IPOD dead?

    I popped my 30gb ipod photo into the docking player thing that I own, it was already turned on, there was a few flashing lights then nothing.

    My computer wont recognise the ipod when I plug it in now, there is no sign of life.
    Can my ipod be saved? I don't even know how to open my ipod (remove the casing etc) any help would be much appreciated, thanks

    Donnot open your ipod case by your own, you will lose the warranty.

    Connect your ipod with your computer then restart the computer, it should be ok.
    or
    Try restoring it.
