Is my PS2 v9 or v10?

It's a SCPH-50001. I heard that both v9 and v10 have this model number. And the date code is 3C.

 

should be a v9. Date code 3D is supposed to be v10.

SCPH 50001 / 50010 date code 3a-3b-3c is a Version 9 - Your BEST choice is the Magic V9

SCPH 50001 / 50010 date code 3d is a Version 10 - Your BEST choice is the Magic V10

No Swap Chip or the Slide card with swap boot disks do not work on 50001.

swap magic does work on v9 and v10.

 

how can you tell what your ps2 is? doesnt it have something to do w/ how mant screws it has on the bottom

 

the only thing the 10 and 8 screws can tell u is if u have 10 then u have a v1-v3 but if u have 8 then u have a v4 and up.
and the data code should be when u are looking at the back of ur ps2 under the serial number (not right below a little more down) and it looks like a 3D in a little shaded box...just look for a min you will find it
