hiya ppl, can anyone else tell me if they're experiencing the same problem as this: I've updated with the new firmware to the starview 1 box but it doesn't roll, i've re-done it a couple of times and with 2 different boxes so was wondering if this was happening to anyone else?
exact same thing happening with me tried a second box same problem, I noticed in the system information it says the firmware version is 4.00e_E and it should be 4.00 is this the same for you?
yeah mine says version 4.00e_E. I also noticed that after i input keys manually and get it working if you press the emu key all data changes and the channels are gone and you have to input it manually again, i say we''ll need a different bin file for it to roll
i meant when you press the 'set default key' and not 'emu' key. either way i think it have to be done manually til we find another file to flash with
You are using the new firmware for sv1 from here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/722659 As far as i have heard today the sv1 and sv3's are updating fine, but sv2 seems to be causing some problems.
Yes, i've tried it on 2 original starviews and had no joy, have tried the firmware from the link for this forum, have also tried it from other links elsewhere and none of them seem to get the box to roll
a master reset is to restore factory settings and do a scan, yes? i have done this each time but no luck.

Yea that definitely doesnt work! Just tried it there, So maybe the fix isnt working for starview1 in Ireland?
It is working, some people are having problems with it. Try the cryptstar version 1.5 257 version for clones and genuine, that might work. Make sure you download it from eamo's library and not anywhere else. Yes 4.00 is the downloader.
