I live in Carigaline Co Cork and have a Chorus MMDS system, I recently got the Starview The Box Super, but can get it to work, it cannot pick up any channels when scanning, it tried to flash the box, but no luck, can anyone help me please, I was told that this box is not suitable for MMDS system is this true???

If anyone can help, could you pleases make it as simple as possible, after reading some of the treads I'm more confused than when I started.

    Thanks

    The SV super wont work on ch***S mmds, you`ll need a DVB-T b0x. ie. The B0x - T or the Eurov0x - TX etc.

Try posting in the items for sale, someone might swap with you.

    Hi All,

I am in a similar situation. Have had Starview Box Super for 12 months and works like a dream on cable TV. But I am moving to an area with MMDS Aerial reception (cork) and I believe this box will not work for me any more :(

Would anyone be willing to swap this for the for a Eurovox TX?

    Please contact me.

them Box T are well out of date now mate they stoped making them nearly a year ago now the latest boxes for the MMDS is the Digivox T box and actually the only MMDS non linux box on the market now

I would doubt after this new encryption that they will actually release any firmware to fix them but i could be wrong i would send them back to the supplier and get them to swap them for you

you would need to be looking for the later Digivox T box as that tx is also an outdated box now by nearly a year as well and prob will be no support for that either after the change over

Thanks for the info fergus... you seem to be well informed.

Do you know how to get this Digivox T, and how much do they go for?

Do you reckon it would be possible to get a swap for a Starview Box Super?

Last question... are they difficult to setup?

    Cheers

    Hi Fergus,

I got your Private Message - thanks. But the cheapest Digivox T that is on there is for £675! That is way more than I expect to pay.

To be honest that site looks like they are ripping people off, they have the Starview Box Super on for £650 - I paid €150 for mine 12 months ago!

Any other ideas on sourcing a Digivox T or MMDS (Cork) compatible box - at a reasonable price... or of course a swap for Starview box... please let me know.

As been said they are not ripping you off you are looking at the traders prices for cartons of 10 that why you got that price

the price of the digivox t for 1 unit is £79.99 Stirling

i have sent you a pm with the direct link to that box ok
