is the sony dru 840 a a rebadged lite on or samsung - i have read that it is samsung rebadge

i just bought the sony dru 840 a 20 x dvd burner and i have read that is a rebadge samsung drive , i have read here that it is a rebadge lite on . does anyone know for sure which one this is , thanks

Lots of scans and which blank media it prefers. Some of them have updated the fw to SS01

Edit: I checked the prices-cheapest for the Samsung 202j is $31.95

Cheapest for the Sony DRU-840A- $61.54

Twice the price for the sony name? Another sony ripoff!
