Is there a CENTRAL website for GAME UPDATES for those without LIVE?

    Just curious, is there a central website that I can goto to download all the 360 games patches and updates to transfer from my new Xport 360 since I dont have LIVE?

    It seems that these game patches, roster files and game saves are available widely but from too many different places and sites....is there one central site that hosts most of these files?

    no, but would you be interested in doing some development to make it happen?

    How would this be possible? Can someone with a console that is not banned pull the updates out of the HDD, upload them to a site we could download them from and put onto our HDD?

    idk, how about you search and find out. im not the one needing the stuff, i simply provided proof that it is out there. or just get a friends HD that has the updates and copy his cache to your HD.

    man... i signed on today just to see if anyone knows what to do about this. This is the only reason im aggrivated about being banned. Some of my games dont work cuz i need the new "update"...

    the games should work just fine. lacking any game updates will not cause them to cease working.

    it wouldn't be hard to create a site to do this, simple php skills, an sql database, and a good base of people whom would help contribute and it wouldn't be hard at all, heck i could do it if someone had a site with php and mysql support

    seriously, am i missing an edit button somewhere?

    anywho, one last thing concerns me is if it'd be legal to do provide the updates over non microsoft DB's?

    well yeah they "should" but this has happened a few times before where i go to play Forza or Need for Speed and it wont work until i went to xbox live. I would update the game and then they would work again.

    Just sayin....

    Except, it's impossible for the game to receive any kind of notification about a game update(assuming your box is banned), therefore being connected to the internet thus requiring any kind of update is impossible.

    There's absolutely no way a game update is needed to play a stock game, games don't ship literally completely unplayable.


    As to why your games aren't actually playing, I have no idea and I don't think you actually gave us any kind of error information or anything.

    I´m trying to play Fable 2 goty, since it comes with the expansions. All work fine exept I can´t use the character´s I created in my original fable 2. You know why? It says "These saves has been created in a more recent version"

    Yup, I had updated my original Fable 2, now I can´t update Goty and can´t use my old chars.

    If anyone knows where and how to download the latest fable 2 patch and how to get it to my hdd that would be great.

    i was just wondering could you not go and rent a copy of a newer game put it in an update from it? just a thought.

    no games renting where I live.

    Picture India, Uzbekistan or that place the guys go in the new call of duty.

    You imagined any xbox360 renting blockbusters? :)

    folks...some of you are missing the point of this discussion. We are simply discussing an alternative website people can log onto with their PCs to download GAME UPDATES and PATCHES if they do NOT have LIVE Access.

    Whether it is backups or originals, is irrelevant to this conversation

    Many of us XBOX 360 users have XPORT or XSATA 360 cables and would love a central location on the web to download game updates, patches, user saved games, mods, and sports team rosters and settings so we can transfer them.


    I for one do not have Live access and I would love a way to update all my sports game's rosters, and grab all the latest patches



    If someone does host this site, I have lots of game patches for all kinds of games that I am willing to upload and contribute as well
