is there a data transfer hack for a V3xx

I connect to the internet through my Razr V3xx plugged into my computer and MPT. I was wondering if there was a hack to goose the data transfer capabilities of my phone. I had an LG6100 that connected at a slower speed but loaded pages much much faster. If I am in a 3g zone with AT&T it does OK but still can't compare to the old LG. If I am not in a 3g zone as is the case 75% of the time, it can take 1-2 mins. for a page to load. Why don't I just buy a service you might ask? Because there isn't a cable long enough to follow me out to sea where I spend most of my life. Thanks
