Here is what I am trying to do. I have a ripped DVD - I would like to take a short part of (maybe like 5 minutes) and put it in separate file - avi or mpeg, but my main concern is - this part has to show subtitles by default. Is it possible? Will appreciate your help. devi
I hope that there is easier way... First convert it to AVI and take subtitles from DVD. Then cut what u want from AVI and cut sub and then do timeadjust and then it should work. U need something like these: SimpleDivX - DVD to AVI Virtualdub(MOD) - Cut or Pastr AVI file SubRip - Subtitles from DVD Time Adjuster or Sobtitle Workshop - Split / edit / adjust subtitles
It is possible. Take xilisoft dvd ripper for example: If you want to convert a clip or a segment, you need to set the “Start Time” and “Duration” of the convention. You should enter the second of the starting point you like by “00:00:00” and then enter the concrete length of the convention. But you must count your length by second. For example, if you want a convention 1 minute and 20 seconds, you should enter “80s” in the “Duration”. And after you load your DVD, all the subtitles on your DVD will be shown in teh "Subtitle" drop-down list, which you can find on the main interface. before you click "Encode", please select whatever you like to rip. I hope this can be helpful.
